Dear Esteemed Anatomists,

Scheduled to take place from September 5^th to 8^th, 2024, the 21^st Congress of the International Federation of Associations of Anatomists in conjunction with the 74^th Annual Meeting of the Korean Association of Anatomists (IFAA 2024) is coming. Anatomy, serving as the cornerstone of medical science, delves into the structure of the human body and boasts a rich historical legacy.

As the president for this conference, I anticipate sharing insights into the importance of anatomy through presentations and discussions focused on traditional research and education in the field. I anticipate that this event will provide a valuable experience for all participants and aims to engender a sense of pride as anatomists.

Furthermore, in-depth discussions on anatomical terminology and ethics will prompt a reconsideration of the roles and responsibilities of anatomists. In the rapidly evolving landscape of science, technology, and diverse developments in the medical field in contemporary society, there is a demand for new knowledge and information about the structure of the human body. Consequently, anatomy, too, faces the challenge of advancing in education and research.

This congress will serve as a platform to address these challenges and engage in discussions about the future of anatomy. The chosen theme, "Inno-Anat," reflects our commitment to innovation in anatomy. With participation and abstract submissions from anatomists in over 60 countries, I am confident that this conference will become a festive occasion for the exchange of knowledge and camaraderie.

Gwangju, our host city, is a place where the flavors and beauty of South Korea come together. With distinct four seasons, Gwangju offers a rich natural environment, cultural experiences, and a glimpse into tradition. Members of the Korean Association of Anatomists are working diligently to prepare for this international academic conference and await your participation.
